5 Day Tours To Look Forward To In Spring 2018
Share This Article
It's never to early to look forward to longer days and warmer weather. If you're planning a short break from March to May, be it in Athens or Amsterdam, why not go beyond the staple attractions? You could pay a visit to Ireland's west coast from Dublin, see Keukenhof's 2018 Flower Show, or discover Greece's early Christian past.
1) Keukenhof Flower Park:
Take a relaxing coach trip through the flower fields between Haarlem and Leiden, then enjoy a guided tour of the famous Keukenhof flower park. Tours depart from central Amsterdam at 09:00, 11:45 & 14:45 (Mar 22 - May 13). The theme of this year's growing season is 'Romance in Flowers', and the highlight display will be a vast and vibrant rose show in the Oranje Nassau Pavilion, possibly the largest in Keukenhof's history.
This year we're also offering travellers a chance to visit a working bulb farm, or pair their Keukenhof trip with a guided city tour of Amsterdam.
2) Giant's Causeway And Antrim Coast:
- Arriving By Cruise Ship? See Here.
Day trips from Belfast don't get any more quintessential than Giant's Causeway. Cool itinerary highlights include a walk across the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, photo ops at Dunluce Castle, and a tasting session at Bushmills Whiskey Distillery. The itinerary of our Giant's Causeway tour has been slightly altered for 2018 based on customer and driver feedback. The times you'll spend at each location are now spaced more evenly, and the overall duration is slightly shorter.
3) Cliffs Of Moher:
Look out across Ireland's windswept Atlantic coast from the top of the awe-inspiring Cliffs of Moher. Pay them a visit quickly and easily next time you're in Dublin. Our daily* shuttle service can reach them in just a few hours. You'll also get a chance to visit the village of Doolin and see the craggy landscape of The Burren.
*From March 1st 2018 onwards.
4) Edinburgh 3 Bridges Bus & Boat Tour:
Up and running with an all new format in 2018, the 3 Bridges Tour takes over from our old Edinburgh Bus & Boat Tour - with the obvious improvement of 1 extra bridge!
Board your bus in the heart of Edinburgh for a tour to South Queensferry, followed by a boat tour aboard the Forth Belle on the Firth of Fourth. Enjoy superb views of Edinburgh and Fife's coastline as well as 3 iconic bridges: the Forth Road and Rail Bridges, and the new Queensferry Crossing. Keep your camera poised and look out for puffins and seals along the way.
Spring dates TBC.
5) Ancient Corinth and Daphni Monastery Half-Day Tour:
Introduced to our Athens itinerary mid last year, the Corinth and Daphni Monastery tour is a fascinating journey back to the early days of Christianity in Greece. It's lead by a professional English-speaking guide whose knowledge of the nation's religious heritage spans two millennia.
