What's on in Dubai (November 2015)

As the weather gets colder in the world's northern half the UAE gears up to welcome visitors looking for a fun and relaxing city break in its warm and cultured climate. As our speciality is sightseeing tours and attraction tickets we're happy to present this hand picked list of November events taking place throughout the city. Some were selected for their proximity to our Big Bus hop-on hop-off bus tour route, which encompasses all of Dubai's most exciting inner districts and landmarks. Simply hop-off at the stated bus stop (if applicable) and you'll either find yourself next to, or within a short of the corresponding event.

Gulf Bike Week 2015. (22-24 October)

Dubai's ultimate celebration of biking culture takes place at the Media City Amphitheatre from October 22-24. As part of the festivities there will be live shows, demonstrations, exhibits and musical performances. The venue is located at the Autodrome in Dubai Motor City, which is about a 20 minutes’ drive from Dubai city centre.

Global Village 2015-2016. (3 Nov-9 Apr 2016)

As one of the wealthiest cities on the Arabian Gulf and the most cosmopolitan in the UAE, it's no surprise that Dubai celebrates its diversity with all the vivacity of a national holiday. The longest running and single largest event of its kind that promotes the city's international ties is the Global Village. Expo-like pavilions from countries and organisations around the world all converge on the grounds near Exit 37 of Sheikh Zayed Road and transform the area into bright and bustling cultural attraction. Each place brings its own unique entertainment roster, culinary delights and shopping experiences.

With some 12,000 shows taking place over the 5 months Global Village offers a stack of fun for everyone at any time. Other features include fairground rides, street performers and daredevil stunts.

Samsung Beach Soccer International Cup 2015. (3-7 November)

If you hop-off at our bus tour's 40th stop (Marina Route) from November 3-7 then chances are you'll catch a glimpse of this sponsored sporting event. Admission is free and teams from all across the world will be gearing up with the UAE as hosts. There'll be food, beverages, and fun for the whole family.

Dubai World Game Expo 2015. (3-4 Nov)

This event is the largest of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa related to video games and the digital entertainment industry. 'Gaming' expos, given the nature of what's on show, are sometimes confused with gaming 'conventions', where the emphasis is more on the entertainment and intermixing of gamers and fan groups. Expos are essentially exhibition spaces for developers, publishers and other groups involved in the production aspect of the industry.

That's not to say they're not worth checking out if you have an avid interest in such things. Dubai World Game Expo will feature live discussions by creators and distributors, hands-on showcases by indie developers, and great opportunities of students looking to break into the field.

Dubai Airshow 2015. (8-12 Nov)

Dubai Airshow is one of the world's largest gatherings of developers and investors in the aerospace industry. Besides an obvious capacity to facilitate business dealings the Airshow typically features hundreds of full-sized aircraft and media relating to aeronautical innovations.

Dubai International Motor Show 2015. (10-14 Nov)

It's a quintessential image of the billionaire emirate, radiant Lamborghini's and elegant Bugatti's rolling down picturesque waterfronts and skyscraper lined boulevards. Whatever you think of the gaudy spectacle it's nothing short of heaven for petrolheads the world over. The main exhibition space consists of 15 halls sporting a vast menagerie of engineering marvels from the classics of the UAE Motoring Museum to cutting-edge supercars. Bare in mind that it's not just static car displays on offer; Dubai Motor Show 2015 is set to feature a new Bikers Arena, live talks by famous industry figures, and demonstrations by the world's best customisers.

The exhibition halls are located at Dubai World Trade Centre right in the heart of the city.
