About The Amsterdam Xtracold Icebar:
Situated along the Amstel waterfront in the centre of Amsterdam is a themed bar with a room composed entirely of ice! You'll enter into an ordinary cocktail lounge with music and a chilly decor set in hues of blue, white and purple. An eskimo host will greet you with a free welcome drink before offering to guide you to the signature 'Icebar'.
Now you'll enter into the world of Willem Barentsz, a 16th century Dutch explorer who sought a route through the Northeast Passage to the Indies. His ill-fated 1596-97 voyage serves as the theme of the Amsterdam Icebar's 4D Ice Experience. 60 tons of natural, hand-sculpted ice has been carved into the shape of Nova Zembla's coastline, the frozen island where Willem and his men were stranded for 9 months!
The temperature in the Icebar is kept a steady -10°C, but you'll be fitted with a parka and mittens to keep warm. The room itself is stunning, furniture crafted from the natural ice refracts multicoloured light reminiscent of the aurora borealis. Enjoy the spectacle, savour the chilled drinks and listen to some great music. Book your tickets now online!
Free Drinks At Amsterdam Icebar:
A token will be issued to you upon entrance into the lounge which will entitle you to a free welcome drink of your choice, select either a pint of Heineken, a cocktail or a soft drink. Once in the ice bar you'll be able to select another two free drinks of your choice (vodka mixer or Heineken). The cold bar features professional photographers who can take a great snap of your experience.
PLEASE NOTE. That on Fridays and Saturdays between 18:00 and midnight the Amsterdam Icebar can be very busy. If you plan on booking a slot during these times we'd highly recommend confirming availability first. Drop us a quick message on Facebook or Twitter and we'll find out as soon as possible.
