About The Budapest Gala Concert:
Music has a special in Hungarian culture. The country’s folk traditions and its world-famous composers have graced the ears and inspired the minds of some of the world's greatest musicians and artists.
During your trip to Budapest don't miss a chance to experience this one-of-a-kind spectacle by an ensemble of the country’s finest artists. The gala concert combines elements of Classical, Operetta, Hungarian Folk and Gypsy music, creating an event that's as dynamic as it is exhilarating. One of Hungary's most renowned classical music ensembles, the Danube Symphony Orchestra leads each performance. They're accompanied on-stage by professional ballet dancers.
Adding a central European twist to the night is a special Hungarian instrument called the cimbalom. This traditional string instrument is the ideal harmonic accompaniment to the grand symphonic orchestra.
The concert also features a performance by one of the leading talents from Hungary’s national 'Virtuoso' talent show, and operetta performances by soloists from the Budapest Operetta Theatre. Additionally, you'll get a taste of Hungarian folk music heritage through traditional folk song adaptations performed by an authentic Gypsy ensemble.
