About The Glenturret, Scone Palace & Bridges Tour:

Learn about Scotland's 'water of life' and visit the historic capital of Alba on this full day tour from Edinburgh. Meet your professional Lothian Motor Coaches guide at Charlotte Square. As well as live English-language commentary you can expect quality on board amenities including: air conditioning, reclining seats, footrests, Wi-Fi, USB charging and even a washroom.

On the first leg of the tour you'll journey across the Firth of Forth towards Fife. Sit back and let the gorgeous scenery roll by as your coach approaches Crieff, home of the Famous Grouse Experience. Famous Grouse is one of the most widely recognised Scotch whisky brands, and this popular attraction at Glenturret Distillery lets visitors view its crafting process first-hand. The standard experience consists of a 1-hour guided tour followed by a tasting of two quality drams. Under 18s and non-drinking participants are instead offered a non-alcoholic beverage.

After spending an hour and half in Crieff, the coach continues east towards Perthshire, where there will be a two hour stop for lunch. Use some of this time to explore Scone Palace and Abbey. Both buildings have a long and fascinating history, but the abbey is particularly interesting as it's connected to the coronation site of Scotland's medieval kings. To this day a replica of the Stone of Destiny sits just outside the building - the actual version of which is housed in Edinburgh Castle.

Inside the palace you'll be able to admire a vast collection of art and rare historical artefacts. The tour concludes with a drive to a scenic viewpoint overlooking the three Forth bridges, after which you'll be returned to Charlotte Square in Edinburgh.
