San Francisco CityPASS | What's Included?
San Francisco CityPASS' offer a choice of 5 activities. Three of these five are included as part of every pass booklet, the other two are open to individual choice. You can choose between either the Exploratorium OR San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. A Muni Cable Car and Bus Passport is included with every pass as standard.

Muni & Cable Car 3-Day Passport:
Enjoy unlimited transportation on some of San Francisco's most iconic vehicles. A CityPASS booklet allows you to jump on any Muni trolley bus, Muni historic streetcar or cable car for 3 consecutive days.
The streetcars operate on the F Market Street subways and outer surface areas. As an indication of how much you could save, a single, one-way cable car ride costs $6. As an additional upgrade for CityPASS holders you can board the Candlestick Ballpark Express for the small additional fee of $8 per person.
- Cable car hours of operation: approx. 06:00 to 01:00.
- Streetcars (F Line): Approximately 05:00 to 01:00.
- Other Muni routes follow similar hours, with some operating 24/7.
If you are in possession of a CityPASS voucher then this must first be exchanged for a CityPASS booklet at another relevant attraction. Afterwards, you simply present your booklet to the driver of the vehicle and board.
California Academy of Sciences:
Opening Hours: Daily, (Mon-Sat, 09:30 to 17:00) and (Sunday, 11:00 to 17:00).
CityPASS includes general admission to all of the main exhibits, including the aquarium, rainforest, planetarium, natural history museum, and 2.5-acre living roof. The CityPASS voucher also grants free entry to the Academy's special exhibits. Details on the special exhibits can be found here. To gain entry to the Academy present the CityPASS booklet at the regular admission gate and skip the ticket line. If you have a voucher, exchange it for a booklet at the ticket office.
CityPASS holders can get discounts on two upgrades. The first is a premium tour available for a small additional cost, and the second is a $12 Thursday Nightlife event. On this day a unique theme is set up with a live band or DJ at the helm. Experience a unique night of dance, tunes and cocktails. Participants must be aged 21+.
Note! The Academy is closed Thanksgiving (Nov 27) and Christmas Day (Dec 25).
Blue & Gold Fleet Day Cruise:
Bay Cruise Adventures operate 7 days a week; first boat departs at 10:00.
Experience the thrills and sights of San Francisco's greatest asset, the sparkling waters of its bay area. With your CityPASS booklet you can choose between a one-hour narrated Bay Cruise, or a ride on the exhilarating Rocket Boat. The Bay Cruise takes in all the gorgeous views of San Francisco's shore and skyline, passes underneath the Golden Gate Bridge, visits the sea lions at Pier 39, and circles Alcatraz Island. If speed's your thing then the Rocket Boat is the fastest and most thrilling way to sweep through the Bay.
As an upgrade for CityPASS holders you can get the 'Escape from the Rock Cruise', a 1 hour 30 minute cruise that circles Alcatraz and includes narration and special effects. Available for just $5 per person.
To jump on one of the boating adventures either present your booklet or exchange your voucher at the Pier 39 box office.
Note! There are no boat services on Christmas Day (Dec 25).
Aquarium Of The Bay:
Opening Hours: Daily, (May 25-Sept 2, 09:00 to 20:00) and (Winter, Mon-Thu, 10:00 to 18:00; Fri-Sun, 10:00 to 19:00).
CityPASS holders are granted quick general admission to this giant aquarium dedicated to the showcasing and conservation of San Francisco Bay's native sea life. Get a Behind-the-Scenes Tour upgrade for an additional $10 per person. To gain entry simply present your CityPASS booklet or exchange your voucher at the main entrance.
Note! The Aquarium is closed on Christmas Day (Dec 25).
Opening Hours: (Tue-Sun, 10:00 to 17:00) and (Thursday Evenings, 18:00 to 22:00 for ages 18+).
CityPASS holders are granted quick general admission to this unique interactive museum at Pier 15 on the Embarcadero. The Exploratorium is a fun and intriguing exploration of art and science through basic human perceptions. Unlike in most traditional museums you will get 'hands on' with the amazing exhibits by means of touch, smell, vision and hearing, maybe even all at once. CityPASS holders also get free entrance to the Exploratorium's special exhibits, details of which can be found here.

Upgrades for CityPASS holders include an admission to the 'Tactile Dome' for only $15. Call (415) 528-4362 for reservations or purchase a ticket upon arrival at the ticket line.

San Francisco Museum of Modern Art:
Opening Hours: (Fri-Tue, 10:00 to 17:00), (Thu 10:00 to 21:00). Closed Wednesdays, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
Witness a giant living wall composed of over 19,000 plants plus the USA's largest space dedicated to solely photography with quick and easy admission to the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. In addition to general admission CityPASS holders can collect a digital audio guide at the Ticketing Desk, Membership Desk, or at the Audio Guide stand for $6.
