About The Stockholm RIB Cruise:
Sightseeing by boat doesn't always have to be calm and leisurely, if you've got something with a little more adrenaline in mind then a RIB speed boat cruise is just the ticket! RIB stands for 'rigid-hulled inflatable boat', they are light-weight, high-performance vessels that hydroplane along water surfaces at blistering speeds.
An experienced crew will take you and your fellow travellers to key sights around Stockholm's waterways, and then out to the beautiful vistas of the Stockholm Archipelago.
The cruise sets off from the berthing point at Strandvägen 18 (next to Ångbåtsbryggan restaurant). You will be provided with all the protective gear you'll need during the trip, such as lifejackets and waterproofs.
A few of the highlight sights you'll encounter on the journey will include: Vaxholm Fortress, Djurgården, the Vasa Museum, Fjäderholmarna island, the Prince Eugen Waldemarsudde mansion and Gröna Lund theme park.
Upon arriving at an interesting landmark your pilot will slow the boat down and offer insights into its history and significance. This'll also give you a moment to snap a few pictures. Otherwise, the boat will race between the islands at speeds of up to 95 km per hour.
