Get an insider look at the UNESCO-listed Sydney Opera House on this 1-hour walking tour. Hear stories about the opera house’s controversial construction and get unprecedented access to a venue that hosts more than 1600 concerts, operas, dramas and ballets take place each year.

Perched on the edge of Port Jackson at Bennelong Point, the Opera House was designed by the Danish architect Jørn Utzon in 1957. When the Opera House became a World Heritage site in 2007 it was hailed as: "one of the indisputable masterpieces of human creativity, not only in the 20th century but in the history of humankind".

In the company of a knowledgeable guide, explore the Concert Hall, Drama Theatre, Playhouse and Joan Sutherland Theatre. Run your hand over the famous shell tiles and take a seat in the custom made Tasmanian Oak chairs, plus marvel at the vaulted ceilings of one of the biggest pillar-free chambers in the world. Throughout the tour you'll have the opportunity to snap photos from rare vantage which are normally off-limits to the general public.
